Chamber glass is a glazed glass formed by at least two pieces of glass separated by a dehydrated air chamber. These chambers are arranged in parallel and form a single glass unit. To form the air chamber, each insulating glass unit contains an aluminum frame filled with a dehydrating element. This frame is normally attached with some form of butyl and sealed with polyurethane.
The chamber can also be filled with some noble gas, such as argon or krypton, thus improving the thermal insulation properties.
